The Origins

              The idea of MedLumos was borne out of the first hand experience of the founder Dr Aradhana Sood, of the urban rural divide in healthcare access and her belief in equal health opportunities for all. A 25 years long journey with the Armed Forces Medical Services lead her to both remote health facilities as well as state-of-the-art tertiary care centres both in India and abroad. Her passion for social change and involvement in multiple prior social outreach programs like rural health camps, health education in schools, prison health care led to the next logical step of launching a social enterprise. Bringing to the fore her discipline, resolve and administrative experience of uniformed services as well as a succinct understanding of healthcare delivery in resource constrained remote locations, MedLumos will bring affordable quality healthcare to rural/semi-urban India by harnessing the power of Telemedicine
