As young doctors our desire to serve the nation lead us to don the olive greens and join the Indian Army Medical Corps. During our career in Armed Forces Medical Services spanning over 25 years we have had the opportunity to provide healthcare across varied settings, ranging from remote border areas, extreme high altitudes, small primary care hospitals in small towns, mid level secondary care hospitals to Apex tertiary care teaching hospitals and even included a deployment to the only Level 3 field Hospital  Democratic Republic of Congo as part of a UN Peace keeping mission. Having risen to the rank of Col and holding appointments of Professor and Head of Departments in Apex PG Teaching Hospitals, they were both on a growth trajectory in the organization.

                       However, during our travels,  the stark inequities in health infrastructure between urban and rural areas always bothered us and fuelled a passion for changing the status quo. This desire to bring a change in the healthcare delivery landscape of rural India lead to us taking voluntary retirement from the secure and satisfying jobs in the Army to follow our dream. Thus was born MedLumos Pvt Ltd with a vision to provide "Access to quality healthcare for All”.
